How To Get Swimming Sponsorships

Water sports, like swimming and surfing are loved by many people.  Some people swim casually as a hobby while others are more hard core.  If you’re one of the latter, then you should be looking at ways to get a sponsor.  Finding a sponsor isn’t as difficult as you think.  With sponsorship letters and proposals and a bit of persistence, you could be on your way to a career in swimming.  Here are a couple tips on how to find a swimming sponsor.

Unless you have your own Olympic sized pool in your backyard, you’re going to need to have access to a good pool.  There are ways to get free access to pools.  You could be a lifeguard at a pool.  High schools, universities and the local swimming pool are a good way to start.  If there are country clubs near you, you could try to get a lifeguarding job there as well.

If you have access to a swimming pool, and free access to boot, then you could try to give swimming lessons to kids.  Kids love swimming and if you also lifeguard at a pool, your manager might be able to set you up with some students who want to learn swimming.  If you aren’t offered to teach swimming lessons, then you could probably advertise and find some children who want to learn.  As a lifeguard , you will probably have parents approaching you and asking if you could teach their kids.

Finding sponsorship can take many forms.  If you are able to work at a swimming pool, you should look into selling swimming accessories, such as goggles, swimsuits.  Buy purchasing in bulk, you will be able to get good discounts and be able to make a profit fairly quickly.

If this sounds like something that interests you, consider contacting one of our sponsorship consultants to find out more information.
