How To Get Hockey Sponsorships

Whatever type of hockey you’re interested, field, inline or ice, you’ll know that it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to become a professional hockey star.  Ice hockey players are like skiers in the fact that they like the cold weather.  Inline and field hockey players like being outside in the sun.  No matter what you like, you’ll know that it take more than hard work and dedication to make it big.  Luck helps, as is being in the right place at the right time.  Sponsors are a good way to help you find the luck you need to make it as a professional hockey player.  Sponsors can help provide training, hockey equipment , and the connections that you need to make a career in hockey.  If this sounds like something you’d like to do, then read the three hockey sponsorship ideas below.

Contacting local businesses is one good way to find sponsors.  Hockey often has huge fans and you should take advantage of that in order to find hockey sponsors.  Put together a hockey sponsorship proposal before going out that details what benefits each party will have.  Then start going door to door looking for sponsors.  Restaurants are often a good place to start and are places that sell sports equipment.  If you can find a store that dedicated itself to selling hockey goods, then you’re in luck.

Work and play at the same time.  Try to get a job at the sports center.  If you’re an ice hockey player, then go to the hockey rink and ask about job openings.  If you’re into field hockey, go to the nearest sports arena.  Sports facility centers often offer free or discounted use of the gym and facilities, meaning that you’ll get to practice more.  In addition, if you work where you play hockey, then you don’t have to commute meaning that there will be more time for you to practice.

Try to organize a little hockey team for children.  Playing sports is a great way to increase self esteem and self confidence.  In addition, it allows children to get outside of the house and get the exercise that they need.  And that’s where you come in.  Put together some ideas about a hockey team for kids and take this to the nearest schools.  Parents will have to pay a small fee, which means you’ll get a bit of extra cash to help you reach your dream of becoming a professional hockey player.
