How To Get Hang Gliding Sponsorships

Hang gliders have the chance to really fly.  Unlike being in a plane, hang gliding allows you to get a bird’s eye view of the world.  If you’re interested in hang gliding, you’ll know that the necessary equipment doesn’t come cheap. Luckily for you, there are sponsors out there who can assist you in hang gliding.  Since hang gliding is often seen as a tourist sport, contacting those involved in tourism is a logical place to start.  There are other ways to get hang gliding sponsorship.  Just look at the three tips below.

Tourist offices of popular cities are a good place to start looking for sponsorships.  All tourist offices have flyers of local businesses and they usually display these items for free.  Contact the tourist office and ask if you can leave flyers about hang gliding in their office.  They might also be able to tell you who would be willing to sponsor you.

Hang gliding schools often need qualified instructors.  If you’ve taken enough lessons and racked up enough hang gliding hours, you might be able to qualify.  Talk to the schools and ask what requirements must be met for you to become an instructor.  Once you’ve done that, then you will be able to teach people and take them up for a flight.

Other serious hang gliders often have the inside scoop on where to find sponsors.  From schools to manufacturers to individuals, they might be able to trade information with you.  Make sure to keep all business cards you get and keep in regular contact with anyone who is or might be a potential sponsor.

If this sounds like something that interests you, consider contacting one of our sponsorship consultants to find out more information.
