Your schools, both high school and college, are the best place to look for sponsorship.  If you played football in high school or college ball, you have a good chance of getting your alma mater to sponsor you.  If you’re still in high school, look for colleges that will offer you a scholarship.  Often scouts will come to games and this is your chance to shine .  If you’re in college now, talk to your coaches and see if they offer scholarships for star players.

Restaurants often sponsor high school team and proudly display the team photo on their walls.  Go to some of your local restaurants with a sponsorship proposal.  Whether in the form of money, equipment, or even catering, restaurants are great sports sponsors. There’s a way to give back to your sponsors.  On the football flyers that are given out at games, you can public print their information and by doing so allow to give back to your sponsors.

Sports sponsors aren’t just limited to those that live in your area.  Larger companies are often eager to help out promising sport stars.  If you’ve got what it takes, take a sponsorship proposal to sport equipment manufacturers to see if they can offer you some of the football equipment that you need.  From football shoes to uniforms, there are plenty of football goods manufacturers out there.  Remember that persistence pays off, so if one place turns you down, go to another with your sponsorship proposal letter.
