There’s nothing quite like being able to make a whole roomful of people laugh.  Comedians just might have one of the best jobs out there.  Comedy is a part of our daily life and many people enjoy watching sitcoms as laughter is a great way to forget about all the stress we have and just have a laugh about life.  If you’re serious about becoming a comedian, then you should consider trying to find a couple of sponsors to help you out.  Below you’ll find three ideas to help you get started.

Go to comedy night

Being a comedian, you’ll probably know where the best spots are for comedians to go and do stand up comedy.  If you don’t already go and perform , you should.  Some of the best comedians have been discovered at clubs.  You have an advantage of always working with a new audience , so you never know who will see your show.  That being said, also do your best, because you never know who will be watching you, it could just be your next big sponsor. 

Use the internet

While performing live is great, there’s only so many people that your comedy routine can reach if you’re on stage.  With the internet, you cannot only reach people on the other side of the country, but also on the other side of the world.  Youtube is an international phenomenon and can allow people all over to view your routines.  It’s free to sign up, and once you have, just start uploading your videos.  Word of mouth is the best publicity you can get and youtube is a great way to make that happen. 

Create your own website

Domain names are pretty cheap nowadays and are relatively easy to set up.  No longer do you need to know html code to create one.  You can put your youtube videos on your website and even put up ads and upcoming shows so that people can go to them and see you perform.
